About us

We are a group of Canadian Men seeking to spread the Good News that Jesus is the Christ.

Canada is often spoken of as a “Christian nation.” Church buildings stand in nearly every city. Christian holidays shape the calendar. Many have heard the name of Jesus from childhood. Yet beneath this outward familiarity lies a sobering reality: countless people have never truly come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

“Sown Seed” exists because cultural Christianity cannot save. Knowing Christian language, attending church occasionally, or being raised in a religious environment is not the same as seeing and believing that Jesus is the Christ — the Son of God who came into the world to save sinners.

The Gospel call is not merely to adopt Christian values, but to repent and believe. It is to behold Jesus as He truly is: the promised Messiah, crucified for sins, risen from the dead, reigning as Lord, and worthy of all worship and obedience. This is the message Canada still desperately needs.

Our nation is increasingly marked by confusion, hopelessness, self-reliance, and spiritual apathy. Even where Christianity is still respected culturally, the true Gospel is often misunderstood, softened, or ignored altogether. Many know about Jesus, yet do not know Him. Many admire His teachings, yet have never bowed before Him as King.

But the Gospel remains “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). The seed of God’s Word still brings life. Christ still saves sinners. The Spirit still opens blind eyes. And the harvest is still plentiful.

The name “Sown Seed” comes from the confidence that God works through His Word. A seed may appear small and unnoticed when scattered into the ground, yet God gives the growth. Our desire is simply to sow faithfully — through Scripture, Gospel proclamation, encouragement, and truth — praying that many across Canada would come to see and believe that Jesus is the Christ.

Our prayer is that this page will point people not to religion, morality, or tradition, but to Christ Himself — the only hope for Canada and the only hope for the world.
