1 Peter 1:12
“It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.”

Each Bible verse, big or small, is packed with so much meaning, wisdom, knowledge, understanding and way more than what our mind and heart can capture and comprehend; if we only were to empty ourselves to it and search with all our hearts, and ask our Lord Jesus humbly in prayer to meet us in His Precious Word.

Notice the last part of 1 Peter 1:12 talks about the Angels. Let us unpack just a bit more of what that means

The angels have stood in the presence of God’s glory since before the foundations of the world. They have witnessed His power in creation, His holiness in heaven, and His justice throughout history. Yet when they look upon the story of human salvation, they see something that leaves them in awe. They watch the eternal Son of God step into human flesh, bear human weakness, suffer human rejection, and willingly die to redeem those who had rebelled against Him. They see mercy triumph where judgment was deserved, grace poured out where guilt had accumulated, and broken sinners transformed into beloved children of God. Unlike humans, angels have never experienced redemption; they do not know what it is to be rescued from sin by the blood of Christ. And so they gaze upon the gospel with holy fascination, peering into the depths of a love they can witness but never personally receive. Every redeemed soul is a testimony to the wisdom, mercy, and beauty of God, and the angels never tire of looking upon this miracle. What seems ordinary to us, the forgiveness of sins, the gift of grace, the promise of eternal life, is to the hosts of heaven, one of the most astonishing displays of God’s glory ever revealed.
